Games Done Quick (GDQ) is a series of video game marathons featuring high level speedrunning all to raise money for charity. The most well known GDQ marathons include their major 24/7 week long events Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) and Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ). Currently GDQ has raised over $50 million dollars for charity over it's 9 year history for organizations such as the Prevent Cancer foundation and Doctors Without Borders.
During SGDQ 2024 I had the wonderful oppourtunity not only to attend the event but volunteer as a photographer as well. This allowed me to capture much of what makes speedrunning so great, the people and the community coming together to support charity.
